Anaheim: OCTA Bus Crash Hospitalizes 10+ Patients
01.24.2019 | 2:40 PM | ANAHEIM – More than ten people were hospitalized after a collision involving a pick-up truck an an Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) bus, Thursday afternoon.
Authorities responded to reports of an OCTA bus that had been involved in a traffic collision at the intersection of Katella Avenue and the SR-57 Freeway around 2:40 PM.
Units arriving on scene found a pick-up truck that had apparently rear-ended the OCTA, injuring both the pick-up truck driver along with several bus passengers.
Firefighter paramedics declared a mass casualty incident due to the number of victims and worked to treat and transport them to area hospitals in varying conditions.
Officers shut down the intersection while they worked to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
