Anaheim: Motorist Dead After Running Across Lanes From Crashed Vehicle

06.17.2019 | 8:50 PM | ANAHEIM – A woman was dead after being struck while running across lanes of the freeway away from her crashed vehicle, Monday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision involving a pedestrian on the northbound I-5 Freeway near Euclid Street around 8:50 PM.

Units arriving on scene found a female down in the roadway deceased from obvious trauma.

Initial reports indicate the woman was involved in a traffic collision on the southbound I-5 Freeway and ended up stopped near the center divider.

The woman is believed to have fled her car and crossed over the center-divider before attempting to run across northbound lanes when she was struck.

The driver that struck the pedestrian remained on scene and was cooperating with law enforcement.

All northbound and southbound lanes of the I-5 freeway were closed until further notice pending further investigation.
