Anaheim: Massive Hotel Bawl Ends With Arrests, Injuries

08.05.2020 | 12:40 PM | ANAHEIM – A massive brawl involving as many as 100 people at a hotel ended with injuries and arrests, Thursday afternoon.

The fight broke out at the Cambria Hotel & Suites located in the 100 block of East Katella Avenue, just several blocks from Disneyland, around 12:40 PM.

Officers responded in force to the hotel where they found a group of 60 to 100 individuals fighting with various items including broomsticks.

The hotel was placed on lockdown while law enforcement secured the scene.

A woman and a boy were injured and transported to area hospitals.

Two other individuals were placed under arrest.

The fight reportedly broke out when someone was pushed into a pool and fell onto another person.

Several near-drownings have been reported at the hotel since its recent opening and it appeared the hotel was not enforcing COVID-19 health protocols.

An investigation is ongoing.
