Anaheim: Man Uses 3D Printer To Make Face Shields For Hospitals
03.30.2020 | 12:00 PM | ANAHEIM – A man was using his 3D printer at home to make face shields for hospitals amid a personal protective equipment shortage, Monday afternoon.
Using his 3D printer 26-year-old Michael Sypher, of Anaheim, was creating face shields to donate to hospitals in dire need of personal protective equipment.
Sypher is a makeup artist technician at Knott’s Berry Farm who is not working due to the COVID-19 pandemic and stay-at-home orders.
Using his spare time and materials Sypher is producing multiple masks a day until and plans to continue his production until he runs out of materials.
The face shields will be donated to area hospitals in need.
