Anaheim: Domestic Violence Suspect Taken Into Custody By SWAT Officers After Pursuit
12.03.2019 | 6:30 PM | ANAHEIM – A domestic violence suspect was taken into custody by a SWAT team after he barricaded himself in a home’s patio after a short pursuit, Tuesday night.
Authorities responding to a reported domestic violence incident attempted to stop a reported suspect around 6:30 PM.
The driver of the vehicle failed to yield and led officers on a brief pursuit before fleeing on foot in the 400 block of North Kodiak Street around 7:55 PM.
The suspect barricaded himself in the patio area of a home and refused orders to surrender.
A SWAT team responded to the scene and used an armored vehicle along with flash-bang devices to take the man into custody just before 8:00 PM.
The incident remains under investigation.
