Anaheim: Cat Rescued From Burning Home
12.16.2019 | 5:19 PM | ANAHEIM – A cat was rescued from a burning home that was first noticed by an alert ambulance crew, Monday evening.
An Anaheim Fire & Rescue Department ambulance was returning from a hospital when the crew observed smoke and fire showing from a residence in the 1400 block of West Ball Road around 5:19.
Additional resources responding on scene found a single story home with heavy smoke and fire showing from the attic.
Firefighters worked to extinguish the flames within 20 minutes.
While clearing the home firefighters located a family cat and rescued it from the home.
After providing the cat oxygen it was considered in fair condition and was being transported to an area veterinarian by the family.
No other injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
