Anaheim Bus Standoff Ends Peacefully

10.08.2020 | 5:00 PM | ANAHEIM (CNS) – A man who allegedly brandished a weapon and made threats to someone on an Anaheim bus got into a standoff Thursday evening with sheriff’s deputies, prompting a SWAT team response.

Deputies were dispatched to the bus, at Katella Avenue and Anaheim Boulevard, about 5 p.m., according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department’s Carrie Braun.

All other passengers made it off the bus without any injuries, Braun said.

The man was still on the bus as of 8:55 p.m., and a SWAT team was called to the scene, according to Braun.
