An Armed Suspect Barricaded In Apartment Surrenders

DETAILS:

1. HPD responded to reports of a shooting
2. Caller stated that he shot 2 possible suspects inside his apartment
3. During the course of their investigation, officers learned that the caller has a history with mental health issues
4. as officers were working to clear the apartment building and formulate a plan to make entry, 2 shots were fired inside the apartment
5. Officers breached the residence, and located a wheelchair bound male with a firearm
6. the male put the weapon down and was taken into custody
7. no victims were located inside the residence
