Amazon Truck, Jeep Collide In Major Riverside Crash

A serious two-vehicle crash left multiple people injured Tuesday evening in Riverside.

At approximately 8:20 p.m. on July 8, 2026, Riverside Police Department officers and Riverside Fire Department crews responded to a collision involving an Amazon delivery truck and a Jeep at the intersection of Van Buren Boulevard and Victoria Avenue.

When first responders arrived, they found both vehicles with major damage and the driver of the Jeep trapped inside the wreckage.

Firefighters worked to free the trapped occupant before both people inside the Jeep were transported to local hospitals. One of the occupants suffered serious injuries.

The driver of the Amazon truck was also transported to a hospital with injuries of unknown severity.

During the investigation, officers were seen collecting evidence from inside the Jeep. Authorities have not said whether drugs, alcohol, or any other factors contributed to the collision.

Riverside Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash, and additional details are expected to be released.
