Alpine: Woman Arrested After Guns & Drugs Found During House Fire

11.12.2018 | 7:33 AM | ALPINE – A woman was arrested after a cache of drugs and guns were found during efforts to extinguish a house fire, Monday morning.

Firefighters responded just after 7:30 AM to the 3600 block of East Victoria Drive in Alpine regarding reports of a home on fire.

Units responding to the scene found a home on fire with flames extending into nearby vegetation. Crews quickly attacked the blaze, achieving knockdown before the blaze spread.

During efforts to douse the blaze firefighters discovered a large amount of methamphetamine along with at least one firearm.

San Diego Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the home and placed a female resident under arrest.

It was unclear how the fire was ignited. Deputies are continuing their investigation.
