Alpine: Man Dead Following Deputy-Involved Shooting
11.12.2018 | 3:00 PM | ALPINE – A man was dead following a deputy-involved shooting in an apartment complex, Monday afternoon.
Deputies responded around 3:00 PM to the 2600 block of Alpine Boulevard reference reports of a man yelling and threatening to kill people.
Units arriving on scene attempted to make contact with the male subject at his apartment when the man emerged with a knife.
Reports indicate the man advanced towards deputies before they opened fire.
The man was struck by the gunfire and succumbed to his injuries on scene.
The man’s family identified him as Daniel “Danny” Ayala.
