Airplane Hits 4 Cars After Emergency Landing On Freeway | Del Mar

08.24.2021 | 12:05 PM | DEL MAR – The pilot and his passenger took off from Montgomery Field in San Diego. The plane started to have mechanical issues and the pilot told the CHP, he attempted to land in a dirt field, but failed. The pilot attempted a landing on the southbound I-5 and hit 4 vehicles. A piece of the right-wing landed inside the back window of one vehicle. The pilot and passenger were not injured. Two people from the cars were transported to a hospital to be checked out.
