9 Shot, 1 Dead In Large Party Mass Shooting | Phoenix
06.04.2022 | 12:30 AM | PHOENIX – Phoenix Police officers investigating a shooting near 13th Avenue and Vogel Avenue reported hearing rapid gunfire just south of their location around 12:30 AM Saturday morning. Moments later multiple 911 callers reported shots fired at a large party near 10th Drive and Hatcher Road with several victims shot. Officers arrived to a chaotic scene with nearly 100 panicked party goers fleeing the area. Officers alerted responding fire crews of multiple victims down along Hatcher Road between 10th Drive and 15th Avenue. FD immediately dispatched a mass casualty shooting assignment triggering a massive response from Phoenix and Glendale Fire crews. At least 7 people were seen transported from the scene with gunshot wounds, there have been reports of multiple other victims who self transported to local hospitals. Firefighters were seen administering CPR to one unresponsive gunshot victim prior to transport. Witnesses stated a black male opened fire into the party crowd after a verbal altercation with another male escalated. Officers are currently working to secure the massive crime scene. Investigators are currently in route to the scene. PPD PIO Updated Info: Thus far, 9 victims have been identified: 1 unknown age female, who is believed to be an adult, was pronounced deceased after being transported to a local hospital. 2 adult females sustained life-threatening gunshot wounds. 5 adult males sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. 1 teenage male sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
