8 Displaced After Neighboring Houses Catch Fire

Firefighters were dispatched to the area of 19th Ave and Southern for the reports of a structure fire. Crews arrived to find a double house fire. Command immediately balanced the assignment to a first alarm. Firefighters quickly attacked the flames while simultaneously clearing both structures of any potential occupants. Ladder companies were sent to the roof of both homes for vertical ventilation.

There will be a total of eight people displaced from both homes. The Community Assistance Program is on scene to assist those occupants.

There are no reported firefighter or civilian injuries. The Phoenix Fire Investigation Task Force is en route to determine a cause.
