78 Arrested In Massive Minibike Bust On 6th Street Bridge
Dozens of people were arrested and nearly 70 minibikes were impounded during a major LAPD operation on the 6th Street Bridge Sunday afternoon.
The operation unfolded around 2 p.m. on September 13, 2026, near 6th Street and Boyle Avenue after LAPD received information that a large gathering of minibike riders was expected to take place on the bridge.
According to an LAPD Street Racing Task Force sergeant, officers positioned themselves in the area and blocked the riders inside the bridge once the gathering was underway.
Police said 78 people were arrested and approximately 67 minibikes were impounded during the operation. Two vehicles were also impounded.
An LAPD sergeant described the operation as the department’s second-largest enforcement action of its kind this year, behind the recent Harbor Gateway street takeover crackdown.
Parents could later be seen waiting on the bridge to pick up some of the young people involved.
No additional information regarding potential charges or citations was immediately available.
