At approximately 11:00 PM on July 12, 2025, a mass casualty incident unfolded at the Pedro Woolley Community Center and Park in Sedro-Woolley, Washington. What began as a weapons offense quickly escalated into a chaotic, multi-location shooting with at least six confirmed victims. One person has died.
Two gunshot victims attempted to flee but crashed into a tree outside the wrong hospital while seeking medical help. Multiple other victims arrived at both United General Hospital and Skagit Valley Hospital, prompting a full trauma response and lockdown protocol at Skagit ER. Clear Lake and Burlington Fire Departments were called in for backfill support, while multiple law enforcement agencies, including Mount Vernon and Burlington PD, assisted with scene management and hospital security.
A suspected shooter was later taken into custody at the hospital and read his Miranda rights.
