5 Shot, 1 Killed At House Party

On 11/15/24, at about 2349 hours, NCPD Officers responded to reports of “shots fired”
at 1003 ‘N’ Avenue in National City. Officers arrived on scene and discovered that
multiple people had been shot. The crime scene was an abandoned house that was
being used for a large party. Due to the number of injured persons combined with the
large number of partygoers and reports that the suspects were still on scene, mutual aid
was requested. Officers from SDPD, CVPD, SDSO and Harbor Police responded to
assist. Officers learned the suspect(s) had fled the scene prior to police arrival. Four
individuals sustained gunshot wounds and were transported to local hospitals. Despite
lifesaving efforts, a fifth person was pronounced deceased at the scene. Detectives are
continuing to investigate as of the writing of this media release.
