5 Displaced After House Fire

Firefighters were dispatched around 9 PM to the area of 16th St. and Union Hills Dr for the reports of a structure fire. Crews arrived and found heavy smoke coming from the attic space of a residential home. Before the fire department’s arrival, all occupants had safely evacuated the structure. Firefighters were able to quickly knock down the flames, preventing extension to an adjacent home.

At this time, a family of five will be displaced. The community assistance program is on the scene to tend to the family’s needs. There were no reported civilian or firefighter injuries, and investigators are en route to determine a cause.
