4th Alarm Vegetation Spreads to Auto Salvage Yard

INCIDENT DATE/TIME:1-13-25, 9:15 a.m.
LOCATION: 1926 SPRUCE ST, RIVERSIDE, CA
AREA/CITY: Riverside, CA
DETAILS:

1. Riverside City Fire Department responded at 9:15 am to a report of a vegetation fire in the 1900 block of Spruce St x La Cadena. On arrival, units observed a Salvage yard fire with some vegetation involvement along the embankment of the 215.
2. A 3rd alarm response was requested, and then later a 4th alarm.
3. The fire affected the SB 215 and the EB 91 freeway transaction.
4. Several cars were burned in the fire, and the fire burned up the hill to the freeway.
5. The cause is under investigation.
6. Crews will remain on scene for several hours
