45 Pets Killed In House Fire | El Cajon

01.08.2021 | 5:46 AM | EL CAJON – The homeowner believes a compressor overheated and started the fire in the garage. The residents’ dog “Sam” was barking and woke up the husband and wife.The wife got up and found the garage on fire. They were able to get out of the house with “Sam”. Firefighters arrived and found 2 other dogs in the garage and got them out. There were up to 45 reptiles (exotic snakes and lizards) in the garage and only a 7 ft Burmese Python survived. He also had hybrid rats and they perished also. The SD Human Society has been called out to come and help and the American Red Cross has also been contacted to help the residents as they will be displaced. For licensing, contact info@onscene.tv
