Possible Shooting At Houston Business Leaves One Hospitalized
One person was transported to a hospital early Monday morning following a reported shooting at a business along Houston’s Gulf Freeway.
The incident was reported around 4 a.m. on September 28, 2026, near 9255 Gulf Freeway, at a business identified as El Botanero.
According to Houston Police Lt. Horelica, one person was transported to a hospital following the incident. However, he did not respond to the scene and could not confirm whether a shooting had occurred.
A man who was in the parking lot but said he did not witness the incident claimed that an argument had broken out inside El Botanero and that a waitress shot a man.
The man also claimed the injured individual had been holding his neck, raising the possibility of a gunshot wound to that area. Neither the account nor the nature of the injuries had been independently confirmed.
The hospitalized person’s condition was not immediately available.
Houston police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the reported incident. No information regarding any arrests or potential suspects had been confirmed.
