40 Adults, 30 Children Displaced by Third-Alarm Fire | Moreno Valley

08.03.2022 | 6:54 PM | MORENO VALLEY – Cal Fire, Moreno Valley responded to multiple calls of an apartment complex on fire.

When they arrived there were large flames and smoke coming through the roof of a 2 story apartment complex.

A 2nd alarm was quickly called.

There were reports of possible people trapped and the call went to a 4th alarm.

Firefighters quickly attacked the fire from the roof and made an accountability check inside the units to ensure no one was trapped.

The entire complex was evacuated

As of 9:10 p.m. 40 adults and 30 children are displaced by the fire.

4 units were a total loss, 5 sustained fire damage and the additional 24 units in the complex were displaced due to water damage.

Red Cross has been notified

Fire crews from Riverside and Murrieta, Corona, and Colton assisted with mutual aid.  5 Battalion Chiefs, 11 engines and 3 trucks are on scene.

Crews expect to be on scene for at least 3 to 4 more hours as of 9pm.
