3rd Alarm Fire Damages Apartments In Stanton

At approximately 11:14 a.m. on April 21, 2026, crews responded to a structure fire at an apartment complex in the 7500 block of Katella Avenue in Stanton.

Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke and flames coming from a garage, with the fire spreading into the attic space. Due to the intensity of the blaze, a third alarm was requested.

Multiple apartment units were affected, and the Red Cross was called to assist displaced residents. No injuries were reported.

Preliminary information suggested the fire may have started from a possible e-bike inside the garage, though the cause has not been confirmed.

Road closures were put in place in both directions of Katella Avenue as crews worked to contain the fire.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
