3 Trapped After Vehicle Rollover On I-8 Freeway | San Diego

10.17.2021 | 1:57 AM | SAN DIEGO – A San Diego Police officer was traveling Eastbound on the I-8 freeway when he came upon a solo-vehicle accident near the I-15 transition. The police officer checked the welfare of the occupants and found 3 males inside the vehicle that were unable to get out. Firefighters arrived and were able to extricate the males through the door of the vehicle. The vehicle was believed to have flipped onto its roof after striking a freeway impact attenuator. All 3 males were transported to Scripps Mercy for their injuries. The California Highway Patrol is investigating whether drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash.
