3 Displaced After Natural Gas Leak Fuels House Fire

  • Firefighters were dispatched at approximately 11:43pm for the reports of a structure fire near Central Ave and Camelback Rd. Crews arrived to find flames and smoke coming from the back patio of a residential home. Prior to the fire departments arrival all occupants had safely evacuated the building. Crews had to mitigate a broken gas line while simultaneously attacking the fire. A ladder company was sent to the roof for vertical ventilation. No injuries were reported.
  • The Community Assistance Program is on the scene to assist a family of three that will be displaced.
  • The Phoenix Fire Investigation Task Force is currently investigating the incident.
