3-Alarm Fire Tears Through Fullerton Commercial Building

A massive three-alarm fire tore through a commercial building near the Fullerton Airport Wednesday afternoon.

At approximately 12:04 p.m. on August 12, 2026, firefighters responded to the 3600 block of West Commonwealth Avenue following reports of a commercial structure fire.

Arriving crews encountered heavy fire burning through the roof of the building, prompting the incident to be upgraded to a third alarm.

Firefighters from neighboring agencies responded to assist as crews worked to bring the blaze under control.

During the response, firefighters rescued two kittens from the property.

No injuries have been reported.

The building is located adjacent to the Fullerton Airport. No additional information regarding the cause of the fire was immediately available.
