2nd Alarm HazMat Fire at Agricultural Distribution Plant

LOCATION: 3132 E Pleasant Valley Road
AREA/CITY: Unincorporated Oxnard
DETAILS:
- Firefighters were dispatched to a reported fire at the above location
- Arriving units found a 200’ x 100’ agricultural distribution plant fully engulfed in flames, along with nearby greenhouses and a small pallet yard.
- Firefighters defensively attacked the fire and utilized an aircraft crash (ARFF) engine from the Camarillo airport to fight the fire.
- The building had placards on the outside indicating hazardous materials were being stored in there, prompting hazmat units to respond.
- No injuries and the cause remains under investigation
