2nd Alarm Fire Destroys Business | San Diego
1.22.2021 | 9:28 PM | SAN DIEGO – A second alarm fire destroyed a business that was in the process of being remodeled.
Firefighters with the San Diego Fire Department responded to the area of Bacon Street & Lotus Street shortly before 9:30 PM Friday night regarding the reported blaze.
Firefighters arrived to the kitchen of the Mothers Saloon, in which the fire had quickly grown. It was eventually through the roof, and a 2nd Alarm was declared.
The apartment building next to the fire was evacuated by police.
During the firefight, a male on a bicycle entered a fire engine and stole a firefighter’s gear bag.
The blaze remains under investigation at this time.
