Norwalk Home Invasion Foiled: Suspect in Custody After Homeowner Pursuit

1. A man is in custody after forcing his way into an occupied home, only to be chased down by the homeowner
2. The 911 call came in around 9:45 AM regarding a male wearing no shoes who broke into the calling party’s home
3. The wife stayed on 911 as the husband chased the suspect out of the house and down the street with a hammer
4. Sheriffs deputies quickly arrived and found the suspect and took him into custody a block away on Volunteer Ave
5. Deputies located an empty backpack dumped by the suspect in front of the home
6. The homeowners were not harmed. It is unclear how the suspect made entry or if he was armed
