2-Year-Old Dies After Apparent Drowning In Houston
At approximately 6:15 p.m. on June 28, 2026, Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies and EMS crews responded to a home in the 500 block of Lago Trace Drive in Houston following reports of a possible drowning.
When first responders arrived, they found an unresponsive 2-year-old boy at the residence.
Paramedics rushed the child to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
Harris County Sheriff’s Office detectives responded to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Neighbors told reporters the family had lived at the home for several years and often saw the children playing outside. One neighbor described seeing the child’s father visibly distraught outside the residence following the tragedy.
