2 struck, 1 Fatally on 101 Freeway in Universal City

LOCATION: 101/Lankershim
AREA/CITY: Universal City
DETAILS:

1. According to CHP two people driving a green charger stopped on the FWY and got out of the vehicle.
2. Another vehicle driving on the 101 did not see the two people and struck both of them. One of the people hit died at the scene the 2nd was transported with unknown injuries.
3. The driver who hit the two people drove off the freeway onto a metro parking lot and was cooperating with CHP.
4. A second crash involving 3 cars occurred at the fatal scene while officers were investigating. One driver in a dark-colored Mustang was arrested at the scene for possible DUI. That is the arrest being made on the video.
