2 Horses Killed on 5 Freeway in Sylmar

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 7-2-24 | 8:59 p.m.
LOCATION: I5 N & 210 Freeway
AREA/CITY: Los Angeles
DETAILS:

1. CHP was advised that several horses were running on the 5 freeway
2. Shortly after they were advised that 2 horses were struck by vehicles
3. CHP located one horse dead in the HOV lane & the other was on the slow lane/right shoulder area
4. CHP has several lanes closed
5. Traffic is heavy in the area
