2 Horses Killed on 5 Freeway in Sylmar

LOCATION: I5 N & 210 Freeway

DETAILS:
- CHP was advised that several horses were running on the 5 freeway
- Shortly after they were advised that 2 horses were struck by vehicles
- CHP located one horse dead in the HOV lane & the other was on the slow lane/right shoulder area
- CHP has several lanes closed
- Traffic is heavy in the area
