2 Homicide Suspects Captured At Border | San Diego
01.08.2021 | 8:00 AM | SAN DIEGO – Two men wanted in connection with a homicide out of Long Beach were tracked down to south San Diego County. They were pursued down the I-805 into the City of Chula Vista, where they went onto city streets and through a shopping center parking lot. The suspect then got back onto the northbound I-805 and to the eastbound Hwy 54, where they exited on Reo Dr., and went back westbound on Hwy 54 and back to the southbound I-805. Speeds reached over 120 mph as they headed for the border. When they arrived at the Port of Entry, the U.S. Customs Agents had shut down the border. The suspects made a U-turn and went the wrong way on the I-5. They exited onto the Camino De La Plaza onramp the wrong way. A CHP officer did a “pit maneuver” on the overpass over the I-5. Both suspects got out of the vehicle and fled on foot over the pedestrian overcrossing still trying to make it across the border. One male was caught at the pedestrian entrance to the border by U.S. Customs agents, while the other was captured on the footbridge. For licensing, contact info@onscene.tv
