100s Of Cars Gridlocked, Stuck & Buried Cars, Tour Bus Rescued

  1. A tour bus was rescued by a small tow truck in Daley Canyon in Blue Jay, and we arrived on the scene just in time to watch the truck pull the strand tour bus out of the ditch and all the way up Daley Canyon
  2. vehicles that are completely buried in snow are all over the mountain. one of the vehicles has a missing driver side window and video shows snow pilling up inside the vehicle. other vehicles are completely cemented into the snow berms.
  3. Stuck vehicles and spin outs continue to be the biggest problem. dozens and dozens of vehicles continue to blow through the chain control check point lieing to officials about having chains or for wheel drive only to become completely stuck further down the highway creating more and more traffic jams.
  4. There are hundreds of motorists blocking highway 18 near crestline bridge putting chains on in the middle of the highway illegally blocking the highway.
  5. Chain control was further up highway 18 and there was 100+ vehicles gridlocked as thousands of people are trying to make there way up to the snow battered mountain.
  6. A New snow storm has arrived and it immediately has started dumping heavy snow on an already buried mountain.
  7. Vehicles are already getting stuck everywhere.
  8. When chain control moved from lake gregory drive down to the 4k foot level, that hundred plus vehicles that were waiting to get through the check point were able to pass through uncheck for chains already starting a chain reaction of spin outs only less than a mile up the road.
  9. The new snowstorm is expected to bring 3-6 more inches of snow between Crestline through Running Springs.
