10 People and 18 Dogs Rescued In Large Scale Swift Water Rescue

  1. Riverside Fire Departments Swift water rescue team responded for reports of multiple people stranded in the Santa Ana River bottom.
  2. Members of the team went into the river bottom and found multiple people and animals that needed to be rescued.
  3. A total of 10 people and 18 dogs were rescued in the incident.
  4. All people and animals are being assessed by paramedics.
  5. There are multiple AMR units on scene as well as an AMR supervisor to assist with the large-scale operation.
  6. The operation took a total of about 4.5 hours.
