1 Dead, 2 Critical In Awful Head-On Crash | Phoenix

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 02-23-2023 | 11:30 PM LOCATION: 19th Avenue North of Loop 101 CITY: Phoenix DETAILS: Phoenix Fire crews responded to reports of a 2 vehicle collision with one vehicle on fire near 19th Avenue and Mohawk Lane around 11:30 PM. Upon arrival crews found 2 sedans with heavy front end damage one of which was fully engulfed in flames. The Phoenix Police Department 200 Precinct duty Lieutenant has confirmed that one deceased individual was located inside the vehicle on fire. 2 other patients were transported in critical condition. Phoenix Police have established a hard closure for 19th Avenue between loop 101 and Rose Garden Lane. The closure is expected to last several hours.
