1 Acre Brush Fire Burns Up to Freeway

DETAILS:

1. On June 18th, 2025, at about 8:43 PM, San Bernardino County Fire responded to a tree fire in the 1700 Block of Highland Avenue in San Bernardino.
2. Firefighters arrived at the scene and reported a working vegetation fire burning with a moderate rate of spread, impacting the freeway.
3. Additional engines, a water tender, and a battalion chief were requested to the scene.
4. Crews allowed the fire to burn into the light brush to prevent future fires.
5. The fire was estimated to be about an acre.
6. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
