Trash Truck Catches Fire

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 10-9-25, 2:16 p.m.
LOCATION: 14435 Macaw St.
AREA/CITY: La Mirada
DETAILS:

1. LA County Sheriff’s and LA County Fire responded to a trash truck fire.
2. When units arrived on scene they found a natural gas trash truck well involved with active fire near several businesses.
3. As a precaution four businesses in the vicinity were evacuated while firefighters and 4 trucks douse  the trash truck with water to keep the area where the fire is burning on the truck cool, until the gas dissipates.
4. No injuries have been reported
5. As 3:30 the fire is still actively burning.
