Semi Truck Destroyed After Catching Fire On the Freeway

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 5-24-23, 10:25 pm
LOCATION: EB SR60 and Heacock St
CITY: Moreno Valley
DETAILS:

1. California Highway Patrol, Riverside and Cal Fire, Riverside County responded to multiple reports of a semi on fire on the side of the freeway.
2. When the first responding units arrived they found a semi on the right hand side of the freeway with its cab fully involved with fire.
3. Fire fighters quickly attacked the fire, but the cab was a complete loss.
4. Full knock down took about 20 minutes.
5. The cause of the fire is not clear at this time.
6. No one was injured in the fire and the semi trailer was empty at the time of the fire.
7. The fire caused a major back up on the EB 60 Freeway through Moreno Valley
