Huntington Beach: Driver Killed, Two Workers Injured After Freeway Crash

04.30.2020 | 10:30 PM | HUNTINGTON BEACH – A 27-year-old driver was dead and two workers were injured after a freeway crash, Thursday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision with injuries on the southbound I-405 Freeway near Beach Boulevard around 10:30 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a black 2012 Dodge sedan that had collided with a construction truck towing a sign board trailer.

The driver of the Dodge was pronounced deceased on scene but firefighter paramedics treated and transported to construction workers who were on the truck at the time of the crash.

Both workers were transported to area trauma centers in unknown condition.

All southbound lanes of the I-405 Freeway were closed while authorities investigated.
